Masjid Nabawi

Masjid Nabawi merupakan masjid pertama yang didirikan oleh Nabi Muhammad s.a.w setelah penghijrahan baginda berserta para sahabat dan pengikut setia ke Madinah. Masjid tersebut dibangunkan pada bulan Rabiulawal tahun pertama Hijrah bersamaan September 622 Masihi. Pada masa Nabi s.a.w dan Khulafa ar-Rasyidin, masjid itu berfungsi sebagai tempat beribadah (solat), menuntut ilmu dan musyawarah bagi melaksanakan kegiatan kemasyarakatan.

Chinese calligraphy most expensive

 A Chinese calligraphy piece written by Huang Tingjian was sold for a historical high of 390mil yuan (RM195mil) in China.

After 70 rounds, the final price was set by a mysterious bidder through the telephone at the auction in Beijing on Thursday.
Plus the commission, the new owner has to fork out nearly 437mil yuan (RM218.5mil) for the masterpiece Dizhuming, China media reported.
The sale also broke the record of the highest calling price, with 10mil yuan (RM5mil) per bid.
Dizhuming, written on a 15m-long scroll, is the longest existing work of Huang - a calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960-1127). It has 407 words.
Huang (1045—1105), generally regarded as the most creative calligrapher, was one of the Four masters of the Song Dynasty together with famous poet Su Dongpo.
